AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL ART MUSEUM, BAKU, AZERBAIJAN
Opening in 1937, the National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan is a treasure of national values and the preservation of universal cultural heritage. Located in a building built in the Baroque style as a project by NA fonder Nonne in 1887-1895, the collection is comprised of more than 18,000 original artifacts from Azerbaijan, Western Europe, Russia and the East (Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Central Asia). In 2011, the museum was granted national status and the European Museum Standard (EUMS) status for quality museum service and a professional experience that met the international standards and criteria by the decision of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry (EEIG).
