THE NATIONAL ART MUSEUM OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, MINSK.

The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus – the largest collection of the Belarusian and foreign art within the country. More than thirty thousand works of art – creating twenty miscellaneous collections and comprising two main representative ones:  the one of national art and the other of monuments of the art of the countries and nations of the world – can be found on exposition, at the branches of the Museum and its depositories.

THE IRKUTSK REGIONAL ART MUSEUM AFTER THE NAME OF V. P. SUKACHEV, IRKUTSK, RUSSIA

Irkutsk Regional Art Museum after the name of V.P. Sukachev Irkutsk regional art museum is the richest treasury of fine art in Siberia. The museum was founded on the basis of the art gallery of the major of Irkutsk V.P. Sukachev assembled by him at the end of the 19-the century. The collection contains small but extremely rare assembly of monuments of Paleolithic art in the Region of the Baikal, one of the most significant collections of icons and a wooden sculpture of the 15-18th centuries in Siberia including original icons of the Siberian letter.

LVIV NATIONAL ART GALLERY AFTER THE NAME OF B. VOZNYTSKY, LVIV, UKRAINE

Lviv National Art Gallery a leading art museum in Ukraine, has over 60,000 artworks in its collection, including works of Polish, Italian, French, German, Dutch and Flemish, Spanish, Austrian and other European artists. THE STATE FINE ARTS MUSEUM OF UZBEKISTAN, TASHKENT, UZBEKISTAN

The State Art Museum of Uzbekistan was established in 1918. Its initial fund comprised of 100 works of sculpture, paintings, drawings, porcelain by Russian and Western European masters from the collections of the Prince Romanov and other private collections of that time, nationalized by the Soviet government after the revolution. AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL ART MUSEUM, BAKU, AZERBAIJAN

Opening in 1937, the National Museum of Art of Azerbaijan is a treasure of national values and the preservation of universal cultural heritage. Located in a building built in the Baroque style as a project by NA fonder Nonne in 1887-1895, the collection is comprised of more than 18,000 original artifacts from Azerbaijan, Western Europe, Russia and the East (Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Central Asia). In 2011, the museum was granted national status and the European Museum Standard (EUMS) status for quality museum service and a professional experience that met the international standards and criteria by the decision of the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry (EEIG).

MARIUPOL ART MUSEUM A. I. KUINDZHE, MARIUPOL, UKRAINA

A.I. Kuindzhy Art Museum was opened on November 29, 2010, and is located in the historical part of the city, in the mansion, which was built in the early XX century. In the Museum we can see the original objects of the late XIX-early XX centuries, works of A.I. Kuindzhy and his contemporaries from the funds of Mariupol local history museum, the photos, the letters of A.I. Kuindzhy, the copies of the artist’s paintings from the State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Russian Museum, and also the original works of A.I. Kuindzhy, I.K. Aivazovskyy, A.P. Bogolyubov, V.V. Vereshchagin, N.N. Dubovskyy, L.V. Lagorio, I.I. Shishkin is exhibited from the founds of Mariupol local history museum.

THE MOGILEV REGIONAL ART MUSEUM NAMED AFTER P. MASLENNIKOV, MOGILEV, BELARUS

The museum housed in the building of the architectural monument of the early 20th century, which combines the features of art nouveau, pseudo-Russian, and late classicism architectural styles (the architect A.V. Druker). In 1994, Pavel Vasilievich Maslenikov donated 125 works of painting and theater decorative art to the city of Mogilyov. Since that time, the museum funds were enriched considerably, the museum included 3, 975 items and was visited by 41,041 people.

THE KHARKOV ART MUSEUM, KHARKOV, UKRAINA

Kharkov Art Museum is one of the oldest and in terms of collection value it is one of the most important museums in Ukraine. The history of the museum collection which contains more than 20 thousand of displays is entertaining. Among them, there are unique works of the world and Ukrainian masters of painting, graphic arts, sculpture, arts, and crafts.
In the art treasury of Kharkov, there are works of European level, such as icons of XVI-XIX centuries, canvases of V.Borovikovskiy, D.Levitskiy, A.Losenko, I.Ayvazovskiy, I.Repin, S.Vaislkovskiy, I.Shishkin, A.Benua.

CHERNIGOV ART MUSEUM NAMED AFTER G. GALAGAN, CHERNIGOV, UKRAINA

Chernihiv Regional Art Museum. Gregory Galagan , located in the ancient princely city, the architectural monument of XIX century, even superficially consistent with the concept of the museum as a place that bears the imprint of time, a reflection of the history and culture of our people.

UDMURT REPUBLICAN MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, IZHEVSK, RUSSIA

The Udmurt Republican Museum of Fine Arts was opened on October 29, 1980.
The collection of the museum today totals 12,797 items — it is the only art collection of such level in Udmurtia. The basis of the collection is 565 works — ‘small’ masterpieces of Russian and West European art. A small collection of works of «old» masters, which got into the republic in 1928 from the State Museum Fund, is the main body of the permanent exposition of the museum.

NATIONAL HISTORICAL MUSEUM OF REPUBLIC BELARUS, MINSK, BELARUS

The history of the National Historical Museum started with the Minsk Regional Museum whose creation became possible after the proclamation of Belarusian Soviet statehood. It was open in the former Nobility Assembly building in 1919.  Every year, the museum collection grows by 2 or 3 thousand depository items. In recent years, the museum collection augmented considerably: as of today, it achieved the number of 400 thousand depository items. The museum items are distributed among 49 collections including archaeology, ethnography, numismatics, arms, porcelain and glass, old printed books and manuscripts, posters, precious metals and gems, treasures, documents, fine Arts, national clothes, and others.

THE CHUVASH STATE ART MUSEUM, CHEBOKSARY, CHUVASHIA

The Chuvash State Art Museum was founded in 1939 as the Chuvash State Art Gallery after being separated from the city’s regional museum. The museum has over 20,000 examples of works of art, including Russian, Soviet and international pieces. It also has a large collection of Chuvash national art, especially examples of Chuvash decorative-applied art. The building on Ulitsa Kalinina, which runs south of Krasnaya Ploschad, is the main building of the museum and there are also several branches in the city.

THE P. M. DOGANIN ASTRAKHAN STATE ART GALLERY, ASTRAKHAN, UKRAINA

Astrakhan Art Gallery is the first Astrakhan art museum based by P.M. Dogadin who has donated his collection of paintings to his native town in 1918. Since 1924 the Gallery is situated in the three-storied building, the former Plotnikov’s Town Estate, the architectural monument of the 19-20 centuries. The Gallery’s collection consists of more than 19,547 thousand storage units. The most significant exhibits are the pictures by Rokotov, Levitsky, Brullov, Venetsianov, Schedrin, Kuindzy, Levitan, Savrasov, Shishkin, Nesterov, Malevich, Kandinsky, Rerikh, Korovin and others. Foreign Art is presented by the collection of 17-20 centuries (almost 8000).

THE VELIMIR KHLEBNIKOV MUSEUM, A BRANCH OF THE ASTRAKHAN STATE ART GALLERY, ASTRAKHAN, RUSSIA

The museum opened to the public on 19 October 1993. It is located on the site of the former apartment-house belonged to Polyakov (1909) in Velimir’s parents’ Astrakhan flat to be exact. CHERKASY REGIONAL ART MUSEUM, CHERKASY, UKRAINA

THE V. V. VERESHAGIN MYKOLAIV ART MUSEUM, MYKOLAIV, UKRAINA

The museum was established in 1914 by the members of a local society of fans of the fine arts, as a monument to the artist, Vasily Vereschagin. The first collection of the museum was placed in the former guardroom of a military department. It included works which were donated by the Academy of Arts, Alexander’s III Russian museum, and items which were sent by V. V. Vereschagin’s widow, Lydia Vasilyevna. On the eve of the Great Patriotic War, the collection museum totaled almost 100,000 works.

THE NATIONAL MUSEUM AFTER THE NAME OF A. SHEPTYTSKY , LVIV, UKRAINA

The Lviv National Museum is one of Ukraine’s largest museums, dedicated to Ukrainian culture in all its manifestations. It was established by Metropolitan Archbishop Andrey Sheptytsky in 1905 and was originally known as the Lwow Ecclesiastical Museum. It currently bears Sheptytsky’s name. The founder donated some 10,000 items to the museum and raised the funds required for it. After the World War II, the museum was renamed the Lviv Museum of Ukrainian Art. The collection was augmented by adding a number of exhibits confiscated from other Lviv museums.

The time of the founding of the art collection in Uman is considered to be 1934, when here for the first time a collection of artworks of the State and Social Historical Museum of the Uman district was exhibited. The museum funds consist of more than 10 thousand unique exhibits.

THE MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY AND GRAFTS LVIV, UKRAINA

This is the oldest museum in our country; it presents a unique and remarkable collection of traditional objects of national culture and folk arts and crafts of the Ukrainian people. The collections include 17 different exhibits, where more than 83,000 museum and heritage items are displayed. The exhibition halls are divided into two distinct sections: ethnographic (over 44,000 exhibit pieces), and arts and crafts (over 28,000 exhibit pieces).

LOCAL HISTORY MUSEUM, BARANOVICHI, BELARUS

The museum was founded in October 1929 in Baranovichi as a local museum. At the same time for visitors, the first museum exhibition was opened. The museum had three sections: nature, history, and ethnography. During the years of Nazi occupation, the museum collections were looted. The main task of the museum is to preserve, to conduct research of historical and cultural heritage of the region, to promote patriotism, pride and respect for the history of the small homeland and the country as a whole, the museum funds contain 59,402 units.

THE MUSEUM OF NATURE, JERUSALEM, ISRAEL

The Museum of Natural History, housed in a historic structure from the 19th century in Jerusalem’s German Colony neighborhood, is much more than simply a museum. the museum features a wide variety of displays from the natural sciences and zoology as well as a display about flying animals, mammals, and crawlers in Israel on dioramas. Visitors to the museum can enjoy a large, shady sculpture garden, displays and exhibitions, a screening room, a library, an educational live animal corner (groups only), a professional staff, and a community garden.

NICHOLAS ROERICH HOUSE-MUSEUM, ODESSA, UKRAINA

The Museum was established in 2000 and is based on reproductions of work by the adventurer, philosopher, and Nobel Prize-nominated artist Nicolas Roerich. Works by his son Svetoslav Roerich, and pupils B.A. Smirnova-Rusetskogo and others are also on display. The exposition occupies 5 halls. One of the halls displays the literary heritage of all members of the Roerich family, art albums and Svetoslav’s portraits of his famous family.
